New feature: URI Alumni of the Game

At each of our A-10 men’s basketball home games this season, the Alumni Association has initiated a practice of honoring one of our distinguished alumni during a mid-court presentation. Our new “Alumni of the Game" feature highlights the career, community, and personal achievements of a diverse group of URI alumni, reinforcing our belief that at the University of Rhode Island our alumni are our greatest assets.

"Fan response to this program has been terrific.  People are impressed by the caliber of URI alumni, and by the fact that URI shows such respect for its alumni," says Bob Beagle, vice president for University Advancement. URI Athletics makes additional game tickets available to each honoree so that family and friends can be a part of this special event.
