The Honorary Alumnus Award recognizes a non-alumnus who has made extraordinary efforts to advance the goals of the University of Rhode Island and the Alumni Association. 

 

The purpose of the University of Rhode Island Alumni Association, an interdependent organization of the University, is to foster lifelong, mutually beneficial relationships among its current and future alumni and the University through programs and services that inform, involve, and invest them as committed partners of the University, its mission and traditions.  The recipient of the Honorary Alumnus Award should embody this mission and that of the University of Rhode Island.

 

To Submit a Nomination

The Alumni Association is currently seeking nominations for the Honorary Alumnus Award. Deadline for nominations is May 30, 2008.Nominations received after this date will be held for consideration the following year. To submit a nomination, download and complete the Honorary Alumnus Award nomination form (pdf), and attach a summary (no more than two pages) of the nominee's accomplishments.
