6–8 p.m. Celtic Pub. A sampling of 2-3 different beers from each of the following vendors: Founders Brewing, Mayflower Brewing, Sebago Brewing, Wachusett Brewing, Goose Island Brewery,Grey Sail Brewing of Rhode Island, Fisherman’s from Cape Ann Brewing Co. Also offered were appetizers including crudités, ribs, kielbasa, cheeses, smoked meats, and artisan breads from Kelly Thomas '98, M'02, of Becoming Italian Today.

Providence Public Library Wine Tasting
6–8 p.m. Special guest Ann Hood ’78, American novelist and short story writer, in the indoor garden courtyard. The event featured passed hors d’oeuvres, catered by Russell Morin Fine Catering (see menu on right) and assorted wines from five local vineyards: Diamond Hill Vineyards, Greenvale Vineyards, Jonathan Edwards Winery, Newport Vineyards, and Sakonnet Vineyards.

Rosecliff Mansion, Newport, 6 p.m. This premier event of the weekend featured an exquisite five-course dinner and dessert menu by Russell Morin Fine Catering paired with wines from Bellevue Wine & Spirits and Newport Vineyards. Included in the evening activities was a silent auction to benefit URI scholarships.
