URI Alumni Family Camp

Our 2009 Alumni Family Camp, held July 17-19, was a great success. The weather was perfect for lots of fun and exploration on the Kingston and Narragansett Bay Campuses.

Some highlights on the weekend: Campers who took part in the the optional Whale Watch on Friday, July 17, were rewarded with eight whale sightings! Saturday included some great classroom experiences (theatre, watercolor monotype, and BioScience), a trip to Yawgoo Water Park, a barbecue, and a movie on the Quad. And Sunday was a great day on the Bay Campus that featured a trawling experience aboard the Cap'n Bert! We can’t wait for next year. Dates for the 2010 Alumni Family Camp will be announced soon!
