Who is a URI legacy?
A University of Rhode Island legacy is a student or alumnus/a who has a parent, grandparent, or sibling who is a University of Rhode Island graduate. As a URI legacy, you are part of a special tradition.
How can I get involved in the Legacy Program?
If you are a University of Rhode Island legacy, we encourage you to register so you and your family may be included in this important program.
Legacy Program Benefits
- Alumni Children Academic Excellence Scholarships
Any alumni son or daughter currently enrolled at the University of Rhode Island is eligible for this scholarship. You must be a sophomore, junior or senior to apply.
- Family Weekend Legacy Reception
All registered legacy alumni and students, along with their families, will are invited to this special annual event held each fall during Family Weekend. Take a look at photos from our 2007 legacy reception!
