A HOLE IS TO DIG:URI student Jordan Clark plants a daffodil bulb this fall. Clark is a freshman enrolled in a URI 101 class, which has a Feinstein Enriching America Program component. The class recently planted 1,500 King Alfred daffodil bulbs around the Kingston campus. The bulbs were donated by The Washington Trust Company. The bank has donated bulbs to the University of Rhode Island since the University's Centennial Celebration in 1992. This spring, more than 30,000 flowers, mostly daffodils, will brighten and beautify URI's educational efforts. |
