On the uri campaign trail ...
 | URI Annual Fund. The URI Annual Fund seeks unrestricted gifts from alumni, parents, and friends of the University each year through the Alumni Fund, the Parents Fund, the Graduate School Fund, and the Senior Challenge. These unrestricted gifts are critical to the University; providing flexible funding that can be put to immediate use where needed most.

|  | Ballentine Hall. The "Shareholders Campaign" to renovate the home of URI's College of Business Administration. Built in 1967, the facility will gain a 10,000-square-foot addition, and will be completely renovated. In addition to the private funds, the state is contributing $5 million through a 1996 bond issue.

 | Convocation Center. The $54 million project is the largest building endeavor ever at URI. The Convocation Center will host major University events, such as convocation, basketball games and other athletic contests, alumni events, concerts, and major cultural events. The overall project includes a separate ice skating facility.

|  | Kresge Challenge. The University was issued a challenge by one of the most prestigious private foundations in the country -- raise $2 million in private donations in a year-and-a-half and URI will be awarded a $500,000 grant.

 | Green Hall. The campaign for Green Hall will help fund a complete enovation of this historic building. In addition to the private funds, the state is contributing $2.8 million through a 1996 bond issue.
