Olympic effortMembers of the University of Rhode Island Kingston-MBA program who captured second place in the George Washington/KPMG MBA Case Competition 2000, a national contest run by the George Washington University School of Business and Public Management, and sponsored by the consulting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP. The team was asked to develop marketing and management strategies based on a 30-page case study prepared under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the 2004 Games in Athens, Greece, which will be the first for which the IOC has an opportunity to take more control and direct the future of Olympic Internet rights. The team is shown here among Olympic posters at the International Scholar-Athletes Hall of Fame on the Kingston Campus. In front from left are Jennifer Frank, and Markus Mansour. In rear from left are Jochen Norrenberg, Eike Liekweg and alternate Arne Wolter.
