![]() Nominations sought for excellenceAlumni Association: The University of Rhode Island Alumni Association is seeking nominees for its 2002 Excellence Awards. Each year, excellence awards are presented to alumni who have demonstrated distinction in one of the following areas: arts, business, community service, education, professional achievement, research and science and technology. In addition to the Excellence Awards, nominees are sought for awards given to recognize involvement in and service to the Alumni Association or the University as a whole. The Alumni Association Excellence Awards Committee will select winners from the nominees, and the awards will be presented during URI Winter Homecoming activities in February 2002. Please submit the name of the nominee, graduation class year, address, field of achievement, as well as the name of the person making recommendation, address and phone number with each nomination. Please also attach additional and substantial supporting documentation, resume and/or news clippings, etc. that will help the committee in making its decision. College of Business Administration: The College of Business Administration is seeking nominations for its fourth annual Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony. The event, to be held on April 25, 2002 at the Crowne Plaza at the Crossings in Warwick, will honor individuals who have made substantial contributions to the mission and reputation of the College of Business Administration. Primary consideration is given to people who are alumni of URI, although non-alumni will be considered for induction. Nominations and applications should be forwarded by Nov. 1, 2001 to Dean Edward M.
