Peace poster project planned

While their parents and teachers are invited to attend URI's honors colloquium series, "Nonviolence: Legacies of the Past, Bridges to the Future" this fall, students in grades K-12 will be invited to create a poster with a slogan that responds to the question: What can I do to make my world more peaceful?

The peace poster project is sponsored jointly by URI and The Providence Journal. The top three winners in each of four age categories will receive savings bonds. All entrants will receive certificates of participation.
