URI news has received widespread coverage in the broadcast media as well, from CNN and Good Morning America to Associated Press National Radio and World News Tonight with Peter Jennings.
Among the stories that received the widest coverage were Manbir Sodhi’s study of cell phone use in cars, Marquisa Lavelle’s obesity research, President Robert L. Carothers’ participation in a national report on alcohol use on college campuses, Thomas Mather’s Lyme disease research, and Thomas Boving’s hazardous waste cleanup system.
