Fulbright Programs

The uri providence campus and the nearby biltmore hotel were the sites for a series of events in june for the fulbright programs of poland and hungary that served as an orientation program for a dozen american high school teachers. the teachers will spend a month of field research and cultural study in those countries. visiting uri were (l-r) andrej dakowski, former director polish-u.s. fulbright commission; huba bruckner, former director hungarian-american commission for educational exchange; geza jeszenszky, hungarian ambassador, and john leo, a fulbright scholar and uri professor of english and film studies who coordinated the program.
