The Department of Public Programming and Events welcomes you to the University of Rhode Island. Whether you’re a visiting dignitary, a prospective student, a patron of one of our summer programs, a Ram fan, a member of the business community, or one of URI’s 100,000 alumni, we want your visit to campus to be enjoyable.

The Department works with the University community to produce events that showcase our many outstanding programs, faculty, alumni, and facilities. These include the Annual Distinguished Achievement Awards, a variety of speaker programs, building dedications and groundbreakings, regional constituent programs, visiting dignitary events, and more.

The University of Rhode Island has a rich campus life with something for just about everyone. We welcome you to participate in the variety of cultural, athletic, recreational, and academic offerings at Rhode Island’s state university!
