Publications
The quality of any organization is reflected by the quality of its publications. Each year, the University of Rhode Island produces hundreds of brochures, newsletters, manuals, guides, and other printed materials. Each is an ambassador of the University. It is important that every one appears to be part of the same family by having certain graphic elements in common.
In order to maintain some uniformity, the University wordmark and the Green Hall logo should appear on the front or back of every publication. Placement can be dictated by design. If the publication is a self-mailer, for example, the University wordmark and Green Hall logo may appear on the mailer panel to the left of the return address.
Secondary logos, such as college logos, program logos, or the logos of corporate sponsors or affiliated agencies, should not appear on the same visible surface as the University wordmark and Green Hall logo, with rare exceptions outlined in these guidelines. In the case of posters, for example, secondary logos may be used on the same surface as the University wordmark and Green Hall logo with discretion. Please contact the Publications Office at 401-874-2075 for further assistance or when in doubt.
As individual supplies of publications run out, new orders should adhere to these guidelines.
