Stationery

Stationery is the primary means of establishing the University of Rhode Island’s image at the personal level. Letterhead, business cards, and related items should reflect the same standards of consistency for all University units, on campus as well as off campus, and should be printed in a quality manner.

All stationery items should follow a standard format featuring the University of Rhode Island wordmark and the Green Hall logo. The typeface used should be Adobe Minion Condensed.

Stationery Orders.
To best maintain consistency in design and color, orders for stationery items should be placed through URI Printing Services at 401-874-4542. Departments using other vendors assume the responsibility of assuring adherence to these guidelines. As individual supplies of stationery run out, new orders should adhere to these guidelines.

Alternate Logos.
Approved alternate logos, such as the Ram logo, the Foundation logo, and the W. Alton Jones logo may be used in place of the University wordmark and Green Hall logo on all stationery items. Contact the Publications Office at 401-874-2075 for clarification or when in doubt.

Secondary Logos.
Colleges, programs, or offices with approved secondary logos may include their logo in addition to the University wordmark and Green Hall logo on letterhead only. All other stationery materials including business cards, envelopes, note paper, and mailing labels should use the University wordmark and Green Hall logo only.

Colors.
All stationery items should be printed in URI Printing Services Super Quick Copy blue. Stationery may also be printed in the University’s official dark blue (PMS 280) for additional time and cost.

Personalization.
Business cards, note paper, stationery, and note cards are the only stationery items that should be personalized. Business cards may be printed on two sides when needed with the front of the card used for University business information and the back used for consulting or personal information (home phone, fax, E-mail, etc.)
